Only 57 per cent students in the country have required hardware like computer, router and printer at home to attend online classes being conducted during the coronavirus lockdown, according to a survey. The survey, with over 25,000 respondents, also pointed out problems being faced by students in sharing resources with parents who, as seen in many households, are also working from home. Around 57 per cent respondents said they have hardware like computer, tablet, printer and router, required for their children to participate in online classes from home while 43 per cent respondents said they do not have required resources, the survey conducted by online platform Local Circles said.

Consortium of National Law Universities has extended the last date to apply for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2020) on its official website. Interested candidates who are yet to apply for CLAT 2020 can submit their application forms through their official website - Candidates can apply online for CLAT 2020 till April 25, 2020 and the exam will be conducted on May 24, 2020, 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

With classes and exams suspended and most of the hostels empty, state authorities have requested educational institutions to allow their hostels to be used as quarantine facilities to aid the fight against the fast-spreading coronavirus. Almost all the universities have been closed across the country to avoid large public gathering and limit human contact. The prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is the first one to accede to such a request, and four of its hostels and guest houses have already been turned into quarantine facilities.

A quarantine facility has also been set up in Telangana's Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANNU) despite opposition from students and faculty members of the university. The students are protesting the move saying it will put students on campus at risk and claimed that the university will have to be shut down for a longer period if quarantine facility is set up.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the CFA Institute has postponed its June exam. The test has been delayed until at least December. Those who have already registered for the June chartered financial analyst exam will automatically be transferred to the nest two test periods which is yet to be determined by the institute.
